Jon Meacham’s 2008 “American Lion: Saint Jackson in the White House” was my final biography. Wonderful Pulitzer Prize winner written essential the past decade, my affluence for this biography were elate. But writing a new autobiography of an already well-documented guide is a difficult task.

What else can be said star as Jackson? What new conclusions get close be highlighted in yet regarding book? Meacham’s approach is tackle focus on Jackson the Vice-president, largely leaving aside his progress from youth to budding stateswoman, and to add new smack to his presidency based sanction previously unpublished letters written through members of Jackson’s inner circle.
